Haldimand is located on the outer edges of what's commonly referred to as Ontario's Golden Horseshoe, one of the provinces most densely populated areas. While there are no major urban centres in the county itself, there are a few noteworthy ones just an one-hour drive away, including Hamilton, Mississauga, Niagra Falls, and St. Catharines, and London.
